3 Months

Last night was rough.
Riley did great, she got up at her normal times.  Me on the other hand – not so good.
……….I had too many sweet treats yesterday. 😒
I should have known the chocolate pie, the brownies, and the bag of candy corn next to the glider in Riley’s room (Thanks GRANNY!) would catch up to me.
I’ve tried to justify eating the sweet treats because of reasons like “It’s the holidays!” or, “I’ve lost weight!” Yeah I’ve lost weight. I gave birth to an 8lb. baby, and when I went for my post pardum checkup they told me I was down 20lbs because DUH I. GAVE. BIRTH.  That was in October. 🙄  I haven’t weighed myself since. 🙄 But my pants started to fit a month ago so its ok. 😉 Other than the sweet treats I eat salad, tuna and avocado, hearty oatmeal, etc every day.  So it evens out right? The brownies were made with coconut oil? I’ll stop trying to justify my pain.  Anyways.  I had too many sweet treats and I found myself rushing poor Riley through the feedings so I could lay down because of a sweet treat belly ache. I felt so selfish! She did get a full belly but I literally sprinted to lay her down so I could lay down and wallow.  She didn’t seem to notice the rushed feedings when she woke up.

This morning’s conversation:

Good morning!
Hello! hello! Hi! Hiiiiiiiiiiiii! Hello!
I love you!
You’re 3 months today.
You’re a big kid.
Did you just speak?
I love you oh yes I do.
Why are you so cute?
Blueeeeeeeeeeeeee  ooo ooo ooo oo oooo (singing that LeAnn Rhymes song & she smiles)
Are you so happy?
Again: Blueeeee oooo oo ooo ooo oooooo
Am I staring too much? You’ll never know if I was.
I love you oh yes I do.
I missed you while you were asleep for the last hour and a half.
You’re my peanut butter ball.
My little baby beluga bear.

Blueeeee oo oooo ooo oo ooooooo

I told Randy last night that the favorite part of my day is right when Riley wakes up because she always wakes up so happy!  But right now watching her take her morning nap is pretty cute too. 😀 Today she is 3 months old.  Months before she was born we decided that instead of the typical monthly sticker pictures that we were going to slowly transform her into a super hero.  First month you didn’t see it coming.  Last month she gained her headband, and this month she gained her arm cuffs. She’s getting so big.😩 I like these little DIY projects. I’m sure I’ll blog my how-to when she’s a year old. UGH I can wait until that day.  Off of here to go sink in her littleness.
