The *spark*

*First – I should have clarified sooner. If you’re looking for a Journalist or English major’s work, you have tip toed onto the wrong blog my friend.  I am as southern and typoed(?) as they come.*

My sister asked me what sparked the idea to start this blog the other night.  After my immediate defensive response of “People need the truth!!!”, I told her she can read it on my next blog.😂 (Apparently the new ongoing joke & thing to say to my family whenever they ask me anything, ever.)  Thanks for being my inspiration sister! (I totally just typed “sisteration” instead of inspiration. YUP.)

But really.  A few weeks after Riley was born I took her to my sisters house. I was “caught” putting Riley’s wubanub in my mouth while picking her up.  My sister immediately goes, “UHHHHHH you’re THAT mom.” If there was a stank face emoji I would insert it here. My reaction: “Come again?”  🤔 Actually, let me backtrack.  My reaction was probably more like, “It’s just kisses!” But, details.  And the rest is history.  The only justification on why I put Riley’s wubanub in my mouth is totally due to convenience.  (i.e.: I’m sitting, the sink is too far, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, etc.) I know, I know, there are just SO many germs on the floor.  I’m still alive and thanks to me taking away these bad germs, so is my child. Lol reading back, this all sounds disgusting. I apologize.

I mean look at that face. If you don’t know what a wubanub is ^^.  Riley’s wubanub also goes by “Wub” and “Geoffrey the Giraffe”.

You know what?  That wasn’t the only incident of being called “THAT mom”. Said with obvious emphasis on “THAT”.  Like really, what do those two words even imply?  That I’m one of those moms now that is going to post pictures of me in a bikini on the beach showing off my stretch marks?  That’s going to breastfeed in public? (WOMAN POWER🙌 is all I have to say to those that do.)

Whatever those two words mean, I’m going to be it, I’m going to live it, I’m going to sing it, I’m going to roll alllllll around in it, and not wash it off. As if I would have time to wash anything. You get the point.
